The duvet looks fab. It actually looks and falls so realistically over the bed. What padding did you use?
Thanks, Pepper! The padding is cotton and the fabric (a bit too thick and heavy) linen. It looks quite nice, but next time I think I´ll use lighter fabric.
Your dollhouse has so unique style that I was totally mesmerized when looking your pictures. How real everything looks! How you make this duvets fall so realistic? One of my friends is using metal wire which is sewn inside the duvet. She is bloggin with her twin sister and making a fantastic 1970´s style retro house. Hi, Tippaiita! Thank you so much for your kind comment. The metal wire sounds like a good idea. I used only linen and cotton (padding). The duvet really isn´t that soft in real life, but it looks nice in the pictures… And thanks for the tip, the blog you recommended is fantastic!
It is hard to believe that it is only linen and cotton padding. Is it like the padding you use for quilting? I must try it. Luckily I have some left overs from my 1:1 size quilt. The only one I have ever done. Better move to mini size, so it won’t take whole summer to finish. 😉
That is true 🙂 The cotton is normal cosmetic cotton that you can buy everywhere, but I´m sure you can use padding for quilting too.
Thanks for the tip.
